LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — I hope you enjoyed the cool-down over the weekend because temperatures will be getting hotter today with highs back in the upper 80s and lower 90s.

Not only will the temperatures increase, the humidity will, too. It will be sticky today and even more humid on Tuesday.

A cold front drops into the state on Tuesday bringing a chance for showers and storms.

The rain won’t be nearly as widespread as it was at the end of last week. It will be more spotty.

Behind the front lower humidity will begin to work into the area, especially by Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will also take a bit of a dip into the mid and upper 80s.
