LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Another nice day in store for central and eastern Kentucky. Most of the area stays dry, but we will introduce a chance for isolated showers and storms this afternoon and early evening. The best chance will be in eastern Kentucky.
It will be another warm day with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s for most.
An area of low pressure will move into the Ohio Valley on Saturday with a cold front approaching from the west. Both will work to bring a better chance for scattered showers and storms.
Some of the storms could be strong on Saturday, but the chance increases a bit on Sunday when central and western Kentucky are in a Level 2 risk for severe storms.
The main threat on both days is for damaging wind gusts. Stay weather aware over the weekend.
