As the upper low gets closer to us Wednesday and Thursday, it will interact with a tremendous amount of moisture to produce more widespread showers and storms. That’s a lot of moisture spinning around the low and is going to be enough to produce, at least, local flash flood issues.
More storms will be around this weekend as a system drops in from the northwest. That brings cooler air in here by early in the week, but the rest of next week could get rather interesting across the country. I’ve talked about the potential for a tropical system in the Gulf and the models are now seeing this well.
